Some of you here may know about the TurtleWriters community I’ve been a part of, and for those who don’t, you can read more about how it all started and what it’s about here.
Since the hashtag’s original inception, there have been several new, exciting developments: the Sunday Twitter discussions, Wednesday Writing Prompts, #turtlesprints (30 minute writing sprints on Sunday afternoons), and a fabulous new logo (designed by the incredibly talented Mike Marsden). But the most recent and exciting development is the new TurtleWriters website, which just launched today.
Though the weekly discussion questions, writing prompts, and writing sprints that Rosetta, Meka, and I have been organizing have helped to round out all we try to offer this special community, we’re hoping this new website will act as a launching pad for even more resources and tools. For now, it’s fairly simple, but I’m looking forward to seeing where it leads and how this amazing community continues to grow!
From the beginning, this group has been focused on encouragement and support and Rosetta, Meka, and I have worked hard to maintain and defend that mission. So I encourage you to check out the website and see what TurtleWriters is all about!
